Wednesday Evening: Wax Carving

Service Description

You will be guided through how to carve wax, adapt carving tools to suit your needs, what the limitations and flexibility of carving wax and refining your skills. You will be shown and will yourself learn how to use Delft Clay to create molds into which you will pour molten metal directly into the mold, casting your design yourself. You will learn what Delft Clay allows you to do, what kind of designs can or can't be cast in one piece or in parts. Making castings from existing objects is also an option. There will be some basic soldering for the construction and addition of your setting, jump rings, bails, ring shanks, etc to your design.
